Jade Cargill has reacted to Charlotte Flair’s losing her Women’s Elimination Chamber qualifying match on WWE SmackDown.
In a match to determine who would take the fifth spot in this year’s Women’s Elimination Chamber, Kiana James, Nia Jax and Charlotte Flair faced off in a three-way during the February 20 episode of SmackDown.
Given her championship pedigree and history in major WrestleMania matches, Flair was seen by many fans as the odds on favourite to qualify, especially given past teases of a potential feud between herself and reigning WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill.
Prior to her match on SmackDown, Flair came face-to-face with Cargill on the entrance ramp, seemingly planting more seeds of a future clash between the two.
However, that match won’t be happening at WrestleMania 42 it seems as it was not Flair, but instead Kiana James who qualified for the Elimination Chamber – pinning “The Queen” to book her spot on the card for next Saturday’s PLE.
Following Flair’s loss, Cargill took to Twitter to the pair’s face off on SmackDown – with the reigning champion pouring salt in the wounds in brutal fashion.
Cargill wrote:
She lost. NEXT.
Kiana James joins Asuka, Tiffany Stratton, Rhea Ripley and Alexa Bliss in the Women’s Elimination Chamber Match, with the last qualifier – featuring Raquel Rodriguez, Kairi Sane and IYO SKY – taking place on the Monday, February 23 episode of WWE Raw.
