Jade Cargill is no stranger to social media but her posts responding to Scorpio Sky’s win over Sammy Guevara are as beautiful as she is.
With Scorpio Sky’s win over Sammy Guevara for the TNT Championship, by the end of AEW Dynamite last night (March 9) there were three Black champions in AEW’s elite class of champions.
The champs have spoken out on Twitter in well deserved congratulatory celebration of one another, with the TBS Champion Jade Cargill writing:
“They don’t hear you! @ScorpioSky
@starkmanjones as well!!! Don’t sleep on us! “
Jade also included Captain Sean Dean’s photo of the banner for both TNT and TBS network’s pages declaring both Sky and Cargill as their respective champions.
Ricky Starks, the FTW Champion tweeted: “Be Proud!”
The new TNT Champion, Scorpio Sky posted a picture of his TNT Championship belt over the waist of a t-shirt that said, “Black and Proud” and also, “I deserve it.”
AEW has faced criticism in the past regarding the representation of the Black community on televised programming.
As previously reported, after Big Swole parted ways with AEW she spoke out regarding what she considered to be a diversity problem within the company questioning the representation of the Black community on AEW and whether or not it was genuine.
In the aftermath of Swole’s comments, Nyla Rose spoke out to disagree.
Scorpio Sky will defend the TNT Championship on next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, dubbed the St. Patrick’s Day Slam edition, against Wardlow who won the opportunity at AEW Revolution by besting Keith Lee, Powerhouse Hobbs, Ricky Starks, Orange Cassidy and Christian Cage in the Face of the Revolution ladder match to become the number one contender to the TNT Championship.
They don’t hear you! @ScorpioSky 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 https://t.co/1wTTFMqFA1
