A top AEW star has teased staying away from wrestling.
At AEW Double Or Nothing, Kris Statlander made her return to defeat Jade Cargill to win the TBS Championship.
This loss marked the first in Jade Cargill’s career since debuting for All Elite Wrestling in March 2021.
Since then, Cargill has stayed away from the wrestling spotlight with various reports indicating that she was taking some time off.
On July 2, Jade Cargill took to Twitter to post photos of herself walking the red carpet at the Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards. She wrote the following caption:
Outside of the wrestling bubble is nice. I might stay.
It remains to be seen when Cargill will make her return, but the woman who ended her undefeated streak, Kris Statlander has been active on AEW programming. She recently defeated Lady Frost to retain the TBS Championship on the July 1 edition of AEW Collision.
