Update On Jade Cargill’s WWE Status Following AEW Departure AEW

Former AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill has finished up with AEW, and she is seemingly on her way to WWE as soon as this week.

Jade was defeated by Kris Statlander on last week’s Rampage show, which will be her final match in AEW.

In an update from Fightful Select, those that Fightful spoke to on all sides, from WWE to AEW to those close to Cargill, implied that her deal with the company would be up as of last Friday (September 15), with her being eligible to go wherever she wants from that point onwards.

WWE sources said that Jade will be in Orlando this week at the WWE Performance Center, and also noted that she is not planned for either tonight’s Raw or tomorrow’s NXT shows as of now, but is expected to sign with the company.

Those close to Jade said that she was treated well by AEW upon her departure, and there is seemingly no ill will between her and the company.

She reportedly received a “nice ovation” backstage, and spoke to several talents about wrapping up her time there.

It was said to be important to AEW to give her an appropriate sendoff.

In addition to Fightful’s report, PWInsider has now reported that Cargill is currently in Orlando, Florida for the company, though reiterated that she’s not planned to appear on tomorrow night’s NXT show.

In a further update, she was reportedly spotted on a flight from Orlando to Atlanta, which would imply she’s been to the PC and is now flying home, confirming she won’t be at NXT tomorrow.

Jade has since been removed from the AEW roster page on the promotion’s website.
