Jake Hager Bringing Inner Circle From AEW To Bellator 231

Jake Hager Bringing Inner Circle From AEW To Bellator 231

ESPN is reporting that Jake Hager will be bringing The Inner Circle to back him up at Bellator 231 this Friday.  AEW wrestler’s Santana, Ortiz, and Sammy Guevara will be joining him for his fight with Anthony Garrett.

Unfortunately, Le Champion, Chris Jericho won’t be in attendance.  Hager is looking to continue his unbeaten streak in Bellator.

You can catch the show on the Paramount Network at 9pm.  Hager is in the opening match on the card.  The card also features Frank Mir fighting Roy Nelson in a rematch from an earlier fight.

If Hager wins, ESPN believes the four men will pose for a photo opp.  Of course, this will be great publicity for AEW.  Unlike WWE’s UFC/MMA fighters, Hager is an active fighter for Bellator.

It’s been reported that Hager hasn’t been in the ring because of fear of injury for this upcoming fight.  It’s yet to be seen how AEW will handle Hager moving forward.

Hager was advertised as the muscle for The Inner Circle.  While a loss tomorrow night won’t truly matter, I’m sure AEW is hoping for a win to be able to continue to hype Hager as undefeated.

Hager has reportedly signed for a long time with AEW.  While being an enforcer can work for a while, Hager’s value will eventually be made by what he can do in the ring.

Stay tuned to WrestleTalk for more on this story as it unfolds on Friday Night.
