Jake Hager’s AEW In-Ring Debut And Opponent Revealed

Tonight on AEW: Dynamite, The Inner Circle was a busy crew. Sammy Guevara faced Dustin Rhodes. Santana faced Jon Moxley. They also debuted what appears to be a new member.

After the Dustin Rhodes match, Dustin called out Jake Hager. He said he wanted him in a match.

He had lots of choice words for the MMA fighter. Dustin even said his MMA career was bad.

He then challenged him to a match at AEW Revolution. Hager did not specifically say anything in response.  However, based on his reactions it seemed like the match was on.

Later on, during the show, AEW confirmed Hager will be making his official in-ring debut at AEW: Revolution. It was also confirmed Hager will be facing Dustin Rhodes.

Isn’t it amazing ago how little fanfare this match would have had when both men were still in WWE a few years ago?  However, AEW has made this seem like a big deal and a must-see match.

Will it be the biggest on the card? Of course, not. However, Hager is the one who slammed Dustin’s hand in a car door and broke it a couple of months ago.

Dustin wants his payback and he will finally get his chance.  Of course he’s facing Hager, so he should probably wear a cup for this match.
