WWE Hall of Famer and AEW star Jake Roberts took to Twitter today (December 29) to reveal that he had tested positive for COVID-19.
Roberts sent out the first tweet, joking that he thought he was ‘bulletproof’ from catching the virus, as it had taken so long for him to catch it.
He said:
I’ve waited so long. Actually thought I was bulletproof. Yes I’ve gotten Covid-19!!!!!
Roberts then sent out a follow-up tweet, confirming that he has not been at AEW in three months, and praised Tony Khan with how he’s trying to keep him safe.
Yes after not going to do my AEW work for nearly 3 months. Tony Kahn knows I’m high risk and has gone above and beyond all expectations trying to keep everyone safe. Pretty sure I got it from family or when I was out shopping.
We here at WrestleTalk wish the best for Jake Roberts and wish him a full and complete recovery.
