James Storm Comments On Beer Money Reunion In WWE

Rumors have surfaced during the pandemic about James Storm coming to WWE. One of the first questions which came to the minds of many wrestling fans was could we see the reunion of Beer Money since Bobby Roode is already signed with WWE.

James Storm was a guest on Busted Open and he addressed this topic on the podcast:

“Yeah, but it’s one of the things too. I would say if he’s got something good going on, great. I don’t want to go in there and just be like, ‘Hey, we should be a tag team now. If I went in there knowing I was going to go by myself, I’d want to go in there and make a name for myself first until– because people already know Beer Money if we got together. So, I would like to go in there and put my footprints in the sand before I start doing any kind of Beer Money stuff.”

Basically, Storm wants to make a name for himself before rehashing the past. However, in WWE, getting a chance to actually make a name for yourself when you made a name in other places is not that easy to do.

Very few have been able to accomplish this since WCW closed its doors back in the early 2000s. AJ Styles is probably the most successful star in WWE who started in TNA and he might not have gotten his push without his massive success in New Japan.
