Japanese Promotion Wants To Work With AEW

All Elite Wrestling has become a very hot product in the world of professional wrestling. While many fans want to see them form a partnership with New Japan Pro Wrestling, other promotions are also looking to work with them. One promotion in particular, is Kenny Omega’s old stomping grounds, DDT Pro Wrestling.

In a recent interview with Inside The Ropes, DDT president Sanshiro Takagi talked about a potential relationship between the two companies. He also listed a number of his stars who he would like to see in AEW. Here is the full quote:

“From DDT, I would like to see Konosuke Takeshita, Tetsuya Endo, Yuki Ueno, and Kazusada Higuchi wrestle in AEW. Jun Akiyama might also be an interesting choice, considering the fact that he was originally supposed to guest-coach at WWE. As for Yuki Ueno, we were planning to have him make his U.S. debut in April on WrestleMania weekend, and though that got cancelled with COVID-19, he has been proving that we made the right decision by showing tremendous growth in the last few months. In general, we are very open to sending over any good talent, if there is the capacity and demand for them on AEW’s side.”

DDT welcomed Omega and Riho back to the promotion last year. It was the first time Omega has wrestled with the promotion since 2014.
