One of the names that has stood out in AEW’s Women’s Eliminator Tournament has been Maki Itoh. Itoh was defeated by Ryo Mizunami in the first round of the tournament but impressed many people not only with her work in the ring but her personality as well.
Now, Fightful Select (subscription required) has reported that Itoh has made it clear she would be open to working with All Elite Wrestling. More specifically, she would be interested in joining the Dark Order.
The report states that Tokyo Joshi informed Itoh of her AEW appearance. She also had mentioned that social media has been important to her growth. Additionally, her experience in LinQ has helped to prepare her for the performance side of pro wrestling.
Evil Uno of the Dark Order has been active on social media, interacting with Itoh on Twitter. Perhaps this could one day lead to the two joining forces in AEW. However, we will likely have to wait for the pandemic to be over to know for sure.
