TJPW star Miyu Yamashita had something of a breakout year in the West in 2022.
Currently reigning as the EVE Champion, the former three-time Tokyo Joshi Princess Champion wrestled then-AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa on AEW Dynamite in 2022.
Miyu is set to challenge Athena for the ROH Women’s Championship at Prestige Wrestling on January 21, so she’s already making waves in the United States this year.
Speaking with Wrestling With Honor, Miyu spoke about her goals for 2023, and noted that while she still believes Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling to be the best place for her, she is hoping to make ‘many adventures abroad’ this year.
She said:
“The best for me is Tokyo Women’s Pro Wrestling, nothing else is possible, but I would like to have many adventures abroad,”
Miyu will miss tonight’s (January 7) Pro Wrestling EVE 100 show in London after suffering a concussion.
