Insight On Jay White AEW Future Following Dynamite Appearance

NJPW has now provided some insight on Jay White’s future with AEW, following his appearance on this week’s edition of Dynamite.

During the show, the NJPW star showed up to help The Elite attack Roppongi Vice. While Adam Cole was overjoyed with White’s arrival, the Young Bucks seemed as if they were caught off-guard by the forbidden door opening once again.

White seems to be set to appear for AEW for at least the next few weeks, per NJPW, with the company teasing tensions between the former Bullet Club members on NJPW1972.com:

Jay White made a shocking appearance on AEW Dynamite this week, and made a swift alliance with Adam Cole and the Young Bucks.

Cole and the Bucks interrupted an interview with Rocky Romero and Beretta on Dynamite, as Roppongi Vice is set to reunite for one night only this week on Rampage to face their classic IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship rivals. Romero would be laid out with a BTE Trigger, before the Switchblade entered, exchanging knowing glances with Adam Cole before sending Beretta face first into a parked truck. Matt and Nick Jackson seemed less pleased with this alliance, which is set to develop in the coming weeks.

Matt and Nick Jackson’s reaction to White’s arrival was similar to their response when Cole was reunited with Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly in December. The Young Bucks have reason to be wary of Jay White, with the New Zealand native pretending to align with them in NJPW in 2018, before attacking Kenny Omega. More recently, White confronted Omega and The Good Brothers at IMPACT Slammiversary 2021.

Also on Wednesday’s show, Keith Lee made his AEW debut, defeating Isiah Kassidy. AEW President Tony Khan has since admitted that White’s appearance was agreed upon following his ‘forbidden door’ announcement.

Khan has confirmed that Keith Lee has officially signed with the promotion. Stay up to date with every AEW signing using our roster tracker, at this link.
