Jay White Reveals Forbidden Door Goal Following AEW Debut

NJPW star Jay White has discussed his current goal in wrestling, following his AEW debut.

White helped Adam Cole attack Roppongi Vice, on last week’s episode of Dynamite. White also made an appearance on Rampage, hitting Trent with the Blade Runner.

These appearances come after White’s return to IMPACT during last month’s TV tapings. Speaking with John Rocha, Aaron Turner and Chris Burns, the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion noted that he’s trying to unite Bullet Club across AEW, NJPW and IMPACT.

Sharing a story about how his AEW appearances came to be, White said:

“The invitation came through from my good buddy Adam Cole. He reached out to me and asked me if I would like to come and maybe give the Young Bucks a hand, as he said. It was the right time because the right person asked.

“What I’m doing is really trying to rejuvenate Bullet Club in the way that I truly see it. People can sometimes say whether they think Bullet Club is stale or not, especially since my absence from Japan with the likes of EVIL and the House of Torture trying to say they are still Bullet Club and Bullet Club has done [downhill]. I put it on myself to go to IMPACT and New Japan STRONG and AEW to prove that Bullet Club runs through me.

“Why can’t Adam Cole and the Bucks throw up the Too Sweet again? Maybe if I’m the one that is extending the olive branch and trying to make it work, maybe they’ll be more open to it. We’re obviously off to a good start. Why can’t we have the Bullet Club united across AEW, New Japan, and IMPACT?”

While The Elite appeared to distance themselves from Bullet Club after the formation of AEW, Kenny Omega took a trip down memory lane last year, aligning himself with The Good Brothers.

While White is currently the leader of Bullet Club, he joined the faction in October 2018, around the time Omega and The Young Bucks stepped away from the main faction. White had previously refused to join the faction, attacking Omega in January 2017.

NJPW and Tony Khan have confirmed that White is set to appear for AEW for at least the next few weeks. He will make his in-ring debut for the company on Friday’s episode of Rampage.
