Jay White Profile Removed From NJPW Website

It has been over a week since Jay White had a meltdown after losing to Kota Ibushi at Wrestle Kingdom 15. He said he was done with the promotion and now, his profile is missing from njpw1972.com.

This could just be commitment to the storyline, however it also does feed into the rumours that White could be headed to WWE. Last week there were reports that it was about 50/50 that White could leave New Japan. People in WWE have reportedly gone to bat for him backstage.

It has been noted recently that White is still advertised for a New Japan show in March. While WWE has been known to false advertise their talent on shows, New Japan has been much more cautious. Kenny Omega wasn’t even advertised for New Japan’s G1 Supercard event in Madison Square Garden nine months ahead of time because he wouldn’t under contract at the time of the show.

When Jay White lost in the Tokyo Dome he cut a promo saying he couldn’t do this anymore. He said he would wrestle at New Year Dash and then he would be done. It remains to be seen how much of this was an angle but we will likely know sooner than later.
