The first night of the 2023 WWE Draft is in the books, with several NXT stars making their way up to the main roster.
One of the names called up was JD McDonagh, who will be a part of the Raw brand following WWE Backlash on May 6.
This means that McDonagh will be on next week’s episode of NXT before he officially comes up to the main roster, and we now know who he will face off with in his last match on the brand.
McDonagh put out a challenge on Twitter earlier today after the reveal of his main roster call up, where he laid out a challenge to anyone on the NXT roster to face him on next Tuesday’s show.
Dragon Lee accepted the challenge, and the match between the two has now been made official for the show.
McDonagh is not the only NXT star set for their final match on next week’s show, as NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn will defend their titles on the show against Katana Chance and Kayden Carter.
Alba and Isla were drafted to the SmackDown roster on last night’s show, with Zoey Stark, Apollo Crews and NXT Women’s Champion Indi Hartwell also being called up to Raw, while Von Wagner is a ‘free agent’.
BREAKING: After throwing out a challenge to the entire NXT roster for a match, @jd_mcdonagh gets his wish. McDonagh will face @dragonlee95 THIS TUESDAY in his last match in #WWENXT before heading to #WWERaw!
