JD McDonagh Injury Update Following Hospitalization After WWE Raw Spot WWE

Following a scary moment on the January 27 episode of WWE Raw, an injury update has emerged for Judgment Day’s JD McDonagh.

McDonagh teamed with Dominik Mysterio as Judgment Day took on the WWE World Tag Team Champions The War Raiders.

During the match, McDonagh went for a springboard moonsault to the outside with the back of his neck making contact with the announce desk.

While McDonagh was able to continue the match, there was concern as fans at the venue had seen him collapse as he got to the backstage area with the WWE star being taken to hospital.

McDonagh has now provided an update on his medical status, confirming that he suffered broken ribs and a punctured lung.

Noting that he’s expecting to be out of action for ‘a couple months’, he tweeted:

“First off, thanks to everyone for the messages and the concern. I’m good.

“I’ve got a couple of broken ribs and a punctured lung, so I’m going to be out for a couple months. All things considered, it could have been a lot worse, so I’m grateful for that.

“See ya in a bit. 🤘🏻”

Highlights from the match, with The War Raiders retaining the WWE World Tag Team Championship, can be seen below this news story.

We will continue to provide updates on JD McDonagh’s status and recovery as they become available.

WrestleTalk wishes JD McDonagh well in his recovery from injury.
