Former NXT Cruiserweight Champion JD McDonagh has explained what he bring to The Judgment Day following their attack on R-Truth.

After months of proving himself to the group, JD McDonagh officially joined The Judgment Day in the fall of 2023.

The former NXT Cruiserweight Champion has found a prominent role for himself as a member of the stable since then. However, the antics of R-Truth has thrown some doubt into McDonagh’s spot in the group.

On the January 29 edition of WWE Raw, McDonagh led The Judgment Day’s attack on R-Truth, leaving him laying alongside The Miz on the show.

Speaking on Raw Talk following the episode, JD McDonagh discussed the situation and revealed what he brings to The Judgment Day. He said:

“R-Truth was never in the Judgment Day. What happened tonight was catharsis for me, it was like therapy.”

“It was something that needed to happen a long time ago. Finn said earlier on people are getting too comfortable stepping up to the Judgment Day.”

“I had to bring a necessary evil back to the group. I needed to remind everyone who we were. That’s what happened tonight. For the Judgment Day, less funny, more money,”

The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and Damian Priest defeated DIY to retain the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships on Monday’s Raw as well.

Meanwhile, Rhea Ripley was attacked by Nia Jax to set up a potential Elimination Chamber title match.
