Jeff Hardy has said that he’s very excited that he now has the opportunity to revisit his rivalry with CM Punk in AEW.
Hardy and Punk had an intriguing feud in 2009, touching on Hardy’s previous legitimate issues with alcohol.
In a Signed by Superstars virtual signing, Hardy acknowledged his history with the top AEW star. When asked about the possibility of him working with Punk again, Hardy said:
“Very excited, there is so much history there.”
Hardy made his AEW debut on Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, on the day he became a free agent. The popular star was released from his WWE contract in December 2021.
Jeff notably made his debut to ‘Loaded’, the song used by the Hardy Boyz in WWE. Details have emerged on how AEW was able to use this song, which you can read about right here.
