It appears the minor injury Jeff Hardy suffered in a dark match last Tuesday won’t be slowing him down. The ‘Charismatic Enigma’ tweaked his leg while making his entrance during the dark main event for SmackDown Live. The injury initially seemed bad enough that doctors came from the back to check on him before he was deemed eligible to compete.
Jeff soldiered on and defeated the Miz that night and went on to compete the next night against Rusev in Liverpool. Luckily for Hardy, this wasn’t anything serious as he’s just now starting to get the singles push the company has seemingly wanted to give him since he and Matt resigned.
As we mentioned when this story broke, Jeff can, hopefully, continue to “walk-off” these injuries and they aren’t a sign that age and wear & tear are catching up to him. But that’s what happens when you get older, things pop and creak just getting out of bed. You may be able to go out and do some major physical labor and then throw your back out sleeping wrong.
Are you concerned about Jeff’s health and safety going forward, or was this just a freak accident? Should Hardy scale it back in order to maintain some longevity in the industry? Tell us your opinions on Twitter HERE or in the comments below.
