In a recent conference call to promote Hell in a Cell, Jeff Hardy promised fans a special moment at this Sunday’s pay-per-view.
When discussion his accomplishments in WWE and his future ambitions in the company, Hardy noted that appearing in a HIAC match was something he was looking forward to ticking off his bucket list. “I’ve been asking for it all this time,” he said. “Now I have to see what I can do inside there”.
Hardy went on to promise it was going to be “very memorable” and he would do something “people won’t forget”.
Hardy is of course famous for wild stunts, having jumped off countless cages, ladders and structures over the years in the name of entertaining his fans and living up to his daredevil persona. Despite reports that Hardy was banged up, it seems he has no plans to change his style.
“You can expect the unexpected. I think my thoughts are too big for my size sometimes. I got a lot of good ideas as far as what I can do inside that structure. And this Sunday, we are going to find out if what I’m thinking is possible or not.”
Hardy also noted that he had his eyes set on the WWE Title again, a championship he last wore in 2009. “I would like to win the world title again, for sure,” said Hardy. “It’d be good now that we [me and Matt] are doing solo deals to be the world champion again.”
Jeff also commented on alter ego Brother Nero, a character on ice since he was in Impact Wrestling. When asked whether Nero would appear in WWE he stated: “Yeah, I think so. I mean, I kind of feel like me wearing the face paint now, and breaking out the white contacts – it’s like a modified version of Brother Nero. And that might take a completely drastic turn this Sunday at Hell In A Cell. I might really go all out as Brother Nero.”
Hell in a Cell takes place this Sunday live on the WWE Network.
