Jeff Hardy joins the ranks of the elite AEW stars who have thus far qualified for the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
Jeff Hardy joins Dax Harwood, Adam Cole, Samoa Joe and Kyle O’Reilly among the male roster members already having qualified for the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
In a match against Bobby Fish, Hardy emerged victoriously to advance to the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Cup.
After the match, The Young Bucks came to the ring and had a brief staredown with the Hardy Boyz with Adam Cole who was on commentary noting that he in addition to most wrestling fans, would love to see Bucks vs. Hardys in AEW.
The segment ended with the Bucks checking on Fish who was down in the corner of the ring while the Hardys led the crowd in a ‘delete’ chant with hand motions.
The women’s bracket thus far currently includes Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D.,Jamie Hayter, Ruby Soho, Toni Storm, Red Velvet, and Hikaru Shida.
The Owen Hart Memorial Cup Tournament is currently announced to begin next month and will feature both a men’s and a women’s tournament to crown the inaugural winners at AEW’s Double or Nothing on May 29, 2022 with plans for Dr. Martha Hart, Owen’s widow, to be in attendance at the event.
