Jericho Appreciation Society Continues WWE Satire

After an excellent opening match on AEW Dynamite tonight (July 27) the Fight for the Fallen edition of the show saw an interruption by the Jericho Appreciation Society.

While Angelo Parker was initially on the mic, he encouraged the hot Worcester crowd, “AEW Galaxy – Appreciate Us!” in apparent homage to another sports entertainment catchphrase that shall not be named.

Chris Jericho informed the crowd that he Anna called him last week and asked for an opportunity and they gave her one and it paid off huge as Jay herself took the mic.

Portraying an intriguing amalgamation of current WWE tropes, taking to the mic to say:

“You’re damn right I took that opportunity, I’m a new Anna Jay – Anna J.A.S., I’m the sexiest and I’m the toughest, and I’m not afraid to prove it, I’ll choke you out, I’ll choke you out, I’ll choke you out!! I’ll choke everybody out!!!”

While Anna added the Jericho Appreciation Society to her moniker, she was still billed as “Anna Jay” on a match graphic for this week’s AEW Rampage so we’ll have to see if she sticks to the name change!

The segment would go on to see Chris Jericho challenging Jon Moxley for the Interim AEW World Championship, a match that Mox accepted and was later confirmed for Quake at the Lake on Wednesday, August 10 from Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Elsewhere on AEW Dynamite Fight for the Fallen, there was a shocking betrayal, a Championship title change, a successful title defense and a major main event which saw the return of the American Dragon, Bryan Danielson who waged war with Daniel Garcia.
