Je’Von Evans Debuts On WWE SmackDown

Je’Von Evans Debuts On WWE SmackDown WWE

NXT star Je’Von Evans made his WWE main roster debut during tonight’s May 30 episode of SmackDown in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Tonight’s show takes place just over a week before the WWE, NXT and AAA collaborative Worlds Collide show on June 7, a few hours before Money in the Bank.

One of the matches set for Worlds Collide is a four-way for the NXT North American Championship between defending champion Ethan Page, fellow NXT star Je’Von Evans, SmackDown’s Rey Fenix, and AAA’s Laredo Kid.

On tonight’s SmackDown, a tag team match took place with Fenix and Evans teaming up to take on Angel and Berto, Los Garza, in what was Evans’ main roster debut. Page was also on guest commentary at ringside.

Page ended up getting involved and costing his Worlds Collide opponents the match, as Angel scored the pin over Evans for the win.

There have been multiple main roster call-ups of late, in the form of Fraxiom, Roxanne Perez, Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer, with Jordynne Grace and Ricky Saints expected to follow soon.

There’s been no word yet on whether Evans or Page are planned for full-time call-ups or if these were just one-off appearances to promote Worlds Collide, but we’ll keep you posted if any updates emerge.

He’s clearly highly thought of, as he was chosen for a match against Randy Orton last October when NXT had a show in Missouri, and he’s also one of the NXT talents who’ve had Speed matches in recent months.

Angel and Berto will also be in action at Worlds Collide, as they team with their Legado Del Fantasma leader Santos Escobar in a six-man tag team match against the AAA trio of El Hijo De Dr Wagner Jr, Pagano and Psycho Clown.
