WWE Hall of Famer and current AEW announcer Jim Ross has announced that he is now cancer free after his recent colon cancer diagnosis.
JR recently announced that he had been diagnosed with colon cancer, which was his second cancer diagnosis in recent years after he beat skin cancer back in 2021.
JR has provided a number of positive updates on his diagnosis over recent weeks, and he has now given us the news that we were all hoping for.
On his Grillin’ JR podcast, JR announced that his cancer was now gone, taking the time to praise AEW president Tony Khan for his support during his recent health struggles.
He also noted that he is hoping to make his return to AEW television for the upcoming AEW All In Texas pay-per-view on July 12.
He said:
“Yeah, I’m tired of sitting at home, and I’m excited about the opportunities that await. I am feeling better. My plan is to be in Dallas for the big event [AEW All In].
“You never know about tomorrow. The cancer’s gone, which I’m very happy to say. So you know, I’m blessed that my health has returned, and I’m feeling pretty damn good.”
We send out our best wishes to JR following his battle and look forward to hearing his voice on AEW television again soon.
