Jim Ross has confirmed that he will be leaving WWE when his contract expires at the end of this month.
Speaking on his podcast, Ross explained that he had recently spoken with Vince McMahon, and that they had made a mutual decision not to re-sign with the company after March 29.
“I still want to play the game, I still want to stay busy. I will not be returning to WWE after the 29th of March.”
He explained that he had absolutely no regrets whatsoever about his run with WWE, stating his decision to join the company in 1993 was the best he ever made.
Ross has been in and out of the company over the past 26 years, most recently signing in 2017, but his appearances on WWE TV have been very limited, last appearing as part of the kick-off panel at the Greatest Royal Rumble in April 2018.
Where he decides to go next, it’s not clear, but there have been rumours linking him with AEW. We’ll just have to wait and see.
