Jim Ross has shared his honest thoughts on the build for the AEW World Championship match for All Out.
Ahead of the September 4 pay-per-view, Jon Moxley defeated CM Punk in their Undisputed AEW World Title match in a matter of minutes. The duo will meet in a rematch at All Out, with CM Punk this time challenging for Moxley’s gold.
During a panel at a fundraiser for Steve ‘Mongo’ McMichael, Ross argued that there are some ‘logical things’ AEW needs to address surrounding the title bout.
Discussing the build, he said:
“Well, I think it’s going to be very unpredictable because I don’t know how you book this card. I don’t know how you have a match on Wednesday and your champion gets his ass whipped like a government mule and then you expect to return it Sunday.
“Why do I need a return? You just got your ass whipped. So there’s logical things we have to address, quite frankly. I think it’s going to be a very challenging show for Tony Khan to book but it’s loaded.”
Several titles will be on the line at All Out. The finals of the AEW Trios Championship tournament will also take place, with Kenny Omega & the Young Bucks set to face the Dark Order.
