Jim Ross Says People Refused To Work With Former WWE Star, He Fires Back

Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, lead AEW commentator Jim Ross has revealed that people refused to work with Tazz during his time with WWE (then WWF) over fears that he was dangerous:

The WWE Hall of Famer explained that once some of the promotion’s top wrestlers started sharing their fears with Vince McMahon, the Chairman decided to take action:

“People thought his suplexes were dangerous, all this other stuff. A lot of the talents get back to Vince and say, ‘You know, I don’t really want to work with this guy. He’s dangerous.’ So they’d tell me that, but they’d tell Vince that. He [Vince McMahon] heard it enough and he saw that a lot of top talents were uncomfortable in stepping in the ring with Tazz. He finally took it to heart.”

Unsurprisingly Tazz didn’t take too kindly to Jim Ross’ comments, and fired back at his fellow AEW Dynamite regular on social media:

Sure it’s not Superstar & couple his buddies? Lol, I’ve talked about this “Taz is dangerous” thing on my show many times for years. Those who heard it know the truth. So @JRsBBQ was there list of names of guys in WWE I “injured” via a Suplex? Was it 7 men, 3 or even 1? #zero
