On Friday, WWE announced that it had released 13 NXT stars from their contracts, including former North American Champions Leon Ruff and Bronson Reed.
Raw star Jinder Mahal recently spoke to Sportskeeda, where he gave his advice to the recently released stars, telling them to make a name for themselves outside of WWE before making it back.
Jinder said:
“The door is always open in WWE. My advice to anyone who just got released is to look at this as an opportunity. An opportunity to redefine yourself. Make some noise. You know wrestling in WWE is super super hot. Internationally everything. We got crowds back. But wrestling outside of WWE is also picking up steam and that’s a great place to plant your flag, make a name for yourself and eventually make it back to WWE.”
Jinder is, of course, no stranger to this very feeling. Both he and Drew McIntyre were released from the company back in June of 2014, with both eventually making it back to the company and becoming WWE Champions.
The two former 3MB members look set to collide at SummerSlam on August 21 in Las Vegas.
