Joe Hendry Calls Out Major WWE Star After TNA Wrestling Championship Victory WWE

After winning the TNA Wrestling Championship, Joe Hendry has continued to pitch a feud against a top WWE star.

While Joe Hendry has not previously been shy about naming John Cena as a dream feud, now with the multi-year partnership between TNA Wrestling and WWE confirmed, a showdown between the pair is closer to reality than ever before.

Making an appearance on Busted Open Radio: after his TNA Wrestling World Championship win over Nic Nemeth at TNA Genesis, Hendry has held firm in his stance about Cena.

When Bully Ray asked Hendry who is the number one person he is ‘looking over his shoulder at,’ the new champ named – John Cena.

When he was asked if he could hold his own on the microphone against the legendary WWE star, Joe Hendry said:

“1000%. I love it. Because John Cena, when he gets that microphone, he tells the truth. And I genuinely honestly believe that people haven’t seen what I can truly do on the microphone yet. I feel so comfortable going out there with nothing prepared.

“To me, John Cena is in the top, top echelon of talkers ever in the business, and if you don’t invite that challenge to try and step up, then you’re not challenging yourself.

“I want it. I know how powerful he is on that microphone, but I believe that I can hang with John Cena.”

John Cena has pledged to make appearances across WWE programming during 2025 as he competes in his ‘Farewell Tour’ before retiring from in-ring competition.

Elsewhere at TNA Genesis, a TNA Wrestling talent is thought to be wrapping up their time in the company and headed for WWE.
