Joe Hendry Contract Update Amid WWE TV Appearances

Joe Hendry Contract Update Amid WWE TV Appearances WWE

There has been an update on the contract status of Joe Hendry and a number of other TNA Wrestling stars who have recently appeared on WWE television.

The two-way partnership between WWE and TNA Wrestling has seen Joe Hendry in a ‘historic collaboration‘ that allows him to train at the WWE Performance Center.

Hendry continues to be featured on WWE NXT, with The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz & NXT’s Wes Lee) also recently in NXT Tag Team Championship action.

Mike Johnson of PW Insider has provided an update on a number of TNA Wrestling contracts following questions about WWE potentially buying out the deals.

As reported by PW Insider Elite (via Wrestling Inc.) Johnson addressed the possibility of WWE buying out the remainder of the contracts of the TNA Wrestling stars they are interested in.

According to Johnson, while it ‘could be in the realm of possibility’, it isn’t something that WWE has done in the past as far as he is aware.

Johnson would also reveal the contract expiry dates for a number of TNA Wrestling stars revealing that Jordynne Grace’s deal expires ‘in the area of January 2025″ while Joe Hendry’s deal is ‘believed to run through the end of 2025.’

Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel’s contract is a ‘multi-year deal’ with PW Insider unable to confirm the end date, noting it ‘goes past 2025.’

Collectively known as The Rascalz, Went and Miguel found themselves on the receiving end of an attack by Wes Lee at NXT Great American Bash on August 6, as can be seen below this news story.

Johnson would provide details for two stars who have yet to appear on WWE television under the partnership.

Josh Alexander has reportedly ‘been discussed‘ for a crossover appearance and was backstage at NXT Great American Bash with his deal running ‘through February 2025.’

As Johnson notes, Alexander was interested in free agency ‘earlier this year’ being unable to pursue that as TNA ‘activated their option for another year’ on his contract.

Speedball Mike Bailey was the last name discussed with his deal running ‘through October 2025’ according to the report.

Bailey came close to signing with WWE in the past with ‘new hiring guidelines’ seeing him unable to join the company.
