TNA Wrestling World Champion Joe Hendry has addressed his physical exchange with Roman Reigns during the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble (February 1).
Perhaps the loudest of all pops during the Men’s Royal Rumble belonged to TNA’s Joe Hendry, who became the first male TNA contracted talent to enter the match in its history.
Entering at number 15, Hendry only lasted just over three minutes but did mix it up with the company’s biggest star Roman Reigns who entered at 16.
The meeting with Reigns made for surreal viewing for fans of Hendry, however, it was the Tribal Chief who came out on top, delivering a Spear and ultimately eliminating the Scottish star.
One week after his Rumble appearance, Hendry took to Twitter to share a picture of the moment he was Speared by Reigns, along with the caption:
Not everyone believes…
Reigns ultimately lasted until the final six of the Rumble, being eliminated along with Seth Rollins by CM Punk.
Afterwards Reigns received two brutal Curb Stomps from Rollins, leading him to be ruled out of action as a result.
A new backstage update has shared details on the reason for Reigns’ storyline related absence – click here for full details.
