Joe Hendry Status Following WWE WrestleMania 41 Revealed WWE/TNA Wrestling

TNA World Champion Joe Hendry had his WrestleMania debut on April 20, 2025, answering Randy Orton’s open challenge.

Originally, Orton was set to face Kevin Owens, with an injury to the Canadian star seeing him pulled from the match.

Night Two of WrestleMania 41 saw Hendry appear at the Allegiant Stadium to face Randy Orton in what would be a losing effort.

Fightful Select has now provided details of Hendry’s status with TNA Wrestling following his WrestleMania debut.

With Triple H suggesting that Hendry could feature on future WrestleManias, Select notes that the star remains under TNA Wrestling contract.

The report also noted that Hendry was approached by WWE by the time the Kevin Owens announcement had been made.

Kevin Owens announced that he would be withdrawing from WrestleMania 41 on the April 4 episode of WWE SmackDown due to neck issues he’d been dealing with over the previous months.

According to Fightful Select’s sources, “a lot of people in TNA” only found out about Hendry’s WrestleMania match on April 19, the first night of the WWE Premium Live Event.

It was also stated that Joe Hendry’s TNA Wrestling contract is up “within the next year” and that he has representation when it comes to negotiations.

It has also been reported that, among the names to face Orton, was not only Hendry but Jeff Hardy.
