Joe Hendry TNA Wrestling Contract Expiry Update Amid WWE Reports WWE/TNA Wrestling

Joe Hendry has shared a major update on his TNA Wrestling contract status amid reports linking him with a future move to WWE.

After a breakout year in 2024, 2025 has already seen Joe Hendry reach even greater heights – with the Scottish star winning the TNA World Championship for the first time at TNA Genesis, making his debut in the men’s WWE Royal Rumble and most recently facing off against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.

Triple H made headlines with his comments at the WrestleMania 41 Night Two post-show press conference, revealing that he had told Hendry that he will be back for more WrestleManias in the future.

This added further fuel to the fire linking Hendry to potentially signing with WWE once his contract with TNA expires, something that a report this week stated was “pretty much considered a lock” by many within the company.

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Hendry confirmed that he is in his contract year with TNA, whilst discussing Triple H’s comments.

Hendry said:

“It’s hard for me to think about it because so many unprecedented things have happened in my life, I’m just like ‘Man, what have I done to deserve all this you know?’ But yeah that was an incredible moment.

“I really do hope there are WrestleMania moments and you know, who knows what’s going to happen next. I’m in my contract year right now, it’s a very exciting time, and I’m just doing my best to give my best to the performance, give the audience everything I can give and to enjoy it.”

Hendry is set to defend his TNA World Championship against WWE NXT’s Trick Williams at WWE Battleground on May 25.
