WWE Plans For Joe Hendry In TNA Crossover Revealed WWE

An update has emerged on plans for Joe Hendry to be involved in the ongoing WWE and TNA Wrestling crossover.

With Jordynne Grace competing in January’s Royal Rumble match and at NXT Battleground, and the likes of Tatum Paxley and Charlie Dempsey showing up on TNA Wrestling TV, there has been a lot of speculation about the next step in the two promotion’s interpromotional relationship.

Fans were surprised during NXT Heatwave, when the closing shot of the show was interrupted by the famous shot of Joe Hendry.

Per Fightful Select, multiple sources in NXT have stated that there are plans to use Joe Hendry “heavily” as part of the crossover between NXT and TNA in the upcoming weeks and months.

Following Hendry’s first appearance for the company, WWE is expected to be focusing on Hendry’s ability to go viral, hence the small teases.

Per the report, more blink and you’ll miss it teases are expected to appear on NXT TV, ahead of Hendy’s next appearance for the brand.

When Fightful asked about potential WWE interest in Hendry when his TNA contract is up, the response they received, on if WWE would be interested, was “who wouldn’t?”

Hendry was not backstage for NXT Heatwave in Toronto, as he was in action in Glasgow, Scotland.

Hendry made a brief appearance on the June 18 NXT episode, competing in a battle royal, but getting eliminated almost instantly by TNA’s Frankie Kazarian.
