Joey Janela attacked his tag-team partner Sonny Kiss before their scheduled match on the August 9 episode of AEW Dark: Elevation.
Before Justin Roberts could even fully introduce the team of Janela and Kiss, the team had already imploded. While Kiss was waving to the crowd, Janela nailed his tag partner with a superkick.
Janela continued the beatdown around the ringside area while the Daily’s Place crowd booed the Bad Boy. Kiss was helped to the back after receiving a piledriver on a steel ledge directly in front of the AEW fans.

Kiss reacted to Janela’s attack on social media, tweeting:
“Guess I shouldn’t be too surprised, right?!”
Joey Janela and Sonny Kiss’ split has been teased for months, with Janela refusing to save Kiss from Team Taz on AEW Dark in May.
AEW Rampage will premiere this Friday (August 13) on TNT in the US. New information has emerged on how international viewers will be able to access the show.
