Joey Janela Blames ‘Mutant Scum’ Mainstream Fans For Heel Turn

AEW Dark saw the break up of one of AEW’s tag teams last night, when Joey Janela attacked tag team partner Sonny Kiss, delivering a Superkick to Kiss.

Janela took to his Twitter account after the segment aired, where he blamed mainstream wrestling fans for his turn, calling them ‘mutant scum’.

Janela tweeted:

“I did what I did not because Sonny, it’s because most mainstream wrestling “fans” are absolute losers, mutant scum! Always arguing about ratings, what’s wrestling & what’s not, who’s dating who, body shaming, & what’s going on backstage.. now you have a reason to really hate me! This comes from the heart, if you stood by me through the years Thank you! If not & you’ve partook in any of these activities you belong in a hole!”

Janela and Kiss had been a regular team in AEW, although they were primarily used on AEW Dark and AEW Dark: Elevation.
