Joey Janela posted a tweet, which he has since deleted, voicing his displeasure about how he’s been booked in AEW.
The tweet read:
“Didn’t get on my flight for @AEWrestling Dynamite tonight, I’m not going…. Nothing was addressed about the way I was eliminated from the match last week, I’m losing all the steam I created on my own though 14 years of hard work, right these wrongs and answer the phone..”
And before you start commenting “it’s a work, idiot”, I’d just like to point out I am fully aware that this is almost certainly the case, so let’s just enjoy it as part of the act, shall we, since that’s the point.
In the tweet, Janela is of course referring to the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal last week, which he was eliminated from by Shawn Spears, who wasn’t even in the match.
Adam Page and MJF were the two last men standing, which means they will have a match on Dynamite tonight, with the winner being presented the Dynamite Diamond Ring by DDP.
Spears beat Janela in a singles match at Full Gear a couple of weeks ago.
We will have live coverage of tonight’s Dynamite on WrestleTalk.com, so we’ll see if any of this is addressed on the show, or whether the fact the tweet was deleted is evidence that whatever was planned may have been dropped.
