John Cena Addresses WWE ‘Last Time Is Now’ Tournament Announcement WWE

John Cena has publicly addressed the announcement of the ‘Last Time is Now’ Tournament, which is set to begin in just over one week’s time.

Following months of speculation WWE’s plans for John Cena’s final match were confirmed during last night’s Saturday Night’s Main Event show in Salt Lake City.

As announced by Cena in a vignette, 16 stars from across Raw, SmackDown, NXT and outside the company will compete in the ‘Last Time is Now’ Tournament – with the winner proceeding to challenge the 17-time world champion in his final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington D.C. on December 13.

Taking to Twitter in response to the announcement, Cena addressed his intentions for the tournament, saying he’d like to “repay the favor” to whoever can earn the opportunity to challenge him.

He wrote:

For over two decades, I have tried to make the most of every opportunity I’ve been presented. On December 13th, I’d like to repay the favor.

The Last Time is Now Tournament begins next Monday in Boston!

As Cena mentioned, the tournament begins on the November 10 episode of WWE Raw in Boston, MA, which is also the next scheduled WWE appearance for Cena on his retirement tour.

As of now there are no official competitors announced for the tournament, however, that hasn’t stopped some names from both outside WWE and within it seemingly throwing their name in the hat.
