‘A Different Perspective’ – John Cena Addresses WWE WrestleMania 42 Role

John Cena has celebrated the success of WWE WrestleMania 42, and Danhausen, who shared a moment with the retired star, has reacted.

WWE WrestleMania 42 took place on April 18 & 19, with John Cena serving as the host for both nights at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

On Night 2, Cena shared the ring with Danhausen, with the record-breaking champions sharing a celebratory message after WrestleMania and a nod to the Very Nice, Very Evil star, tweeting:

“An incredible weekend! Truly enjoyed WM thru a different perspective.

“What a turnout of 106,072! To ALL those who saw it live …. Thank you for the Hausen”

Danhausen would react by thanking Cena, in a follow-up tweet reading:

“Glad Danhausen finally saw you. Thank you, Mr. Cenahausen.”

Experiencing his own first-ever WrestleMania moment on Night Two, Danhausen also reflected on the fan reaction, posting:

“55,000 humans cheered for Danhausen and chanted You. Are. Cursed! as Danhausen stood in a @WWE ring with his great new best friend @JohnCena at WRESTLEMANIA.

“Never Give Uphausen.

“Thank you, John.”

Danhausen was accompanied by a troupe of smaller versions of himself, as he confronted The Miz and Kit Wilson, also having a first WrestleMania moment, for some shenanigans, before celebrating with John Cena and attempting to vanish in a cloud of smoke.

The WWE WrestleMania Debut

Whether it’s considered the ‘Grandest Stage Of Them All’ or ‘The Showcase of the Immortals’, WrestleMania has, for over forty years, been the pinnacle of the WWE calendar.

This year’s iteration, WrestleMania 42, saw criticism levelled at Triple H over its creative direction, with plans reportedly derailed through injury.

The WWE Chief Content Officer would address such criticism in the run-up to the two-day Premium Live Event, reflecting on the challenges of a live product, saying “you can write the greatest script in the world to get you to the ultimate battle scene, and then right before the ultimate battle scene, the star of the show gets injured.”

When it comes to “the star of the show”, WrestleMania 42 demonstrated that there were plenty within WWE who can and do fit that role, but it’s the stars who were making their WrestleMania debut who will likely lead the company into its future.

Whether it be Oba Femi with his victory over Brock Lesnar, Trick Williams defeating Sami Zayn, Stephanie Vaquer losing the Women’s World Championship to Liv Morgan, or a six-man ladder match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship that saw Je’Von Evans, Dragon Lee and, surprisingly, JD McDonagh all make their debuts, it’s a testament to these stars that they have risen to such a position that these opportunities presented themselves, and that’s just from Night 2.

Danhausen may have had a rocky start at the Royal Rumble, but he’s gone on to demonstrate a skill for comedic timing that has won the fans over, with his WrestleMania 42 debut, although not in a competing form, being relatively well received and continuing the interactions he’s had with The Miz and Kit Wilson, himself making his first appearance at the top PLE. For Wilson and Danhausen, sharing the ring with John Cena must have been quite the moment and a reflection of the trust the creative team has in both current stars.

Tonight, with the Raw after WrestleMania, is hopefully going to offer a look at the next stage of WWE creative, with new champions crowned, new stars elevated and opportunities aplenty for the future.
