WWE Fans To ‘Dictate Direction’ Of The End Of John Cena’s Farewell Tour

The WWE Universe will be influential in dictating the direction of the final months in John Cena’s retirement run.

With WWE President Nick Khan stating that the company’s creative team are encouraged to write for “the (WWE) Universe”, John Cena has revealed that the same applies for his own story, too.

Speaking to Collider, Cena addressed the final months of his retirement year and how the audience will influence it, saying:

“As we get close to the end of this thing, what dictates those pivots is the audience, and I think the audience will begin to feel differently, because now we are truly coming to the end.

“So, if you ever had a voice to use, if you ever wanted to say something, I hate to steal my own cliché, but the time is now.

“I look forward to the road ahead because the audience is going to dictate the direction we go. I think it’s a wonderful time to be a fan.”

Other WWE stars have seemingly been able to benefit from the same elements that he has experienced, with John Cena going on to state:

“I think a lot of different talent are being able to capitalize on all we’re doing, and I applaud the WWE for always being able to think extended but pivot on a dime in a moment, as it happens. I think that’s their strongest suit.”

John Cena would also reveal that there had been pivots aplenty during his retirement year so far.

According to Cena, WWE can change a story as it is happening due to the adaptability of its storytelling.

On the June 20 episode of WWE SmackDown, Cena put CM Punk through a table and delivered a pipebomb promo of his own, with it recently being revealed that an unplanned change was made to the segment.

John Cena is scheduled to defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against CM Punk at Night of Champions on June 28.
