John Cena made his WWE return on tonight’s (June 27) episode of Raw, and he made sure to be all over the show.
Cena appeared in multiple segments throughout the night, including the opening segment with him greeting many WWE stars, most notably R-Truth, as he entered the building.
Cena then took part in fun backstage segments with the Street Profits and Ezekiel, as well as teasing the highly rumoured match against Theory. However, it seems like that match might not be set for SummerSlam after all.
Cena was introduced by Vince McMahon for his promo later in the show, where he spoke about his career in WWE, and how it’s helped him become a better person.
Cena ended by saying that he ‘doesn’t know when his next match will be’ before he left the ring and greeted fans.
Several short video messages from names from Cena’s past aired on the show to honor Cena, including a cameo appearance from three AEW stars.
