A current WWE champion has addressed the possibility of John Cena challenging for his title ahead of Cena’s retirement.
With John Cena set to hang his jorts up for good in December, there’s a good chance that his SummerSlam WWE Championship match will be his final title match in WWE.
If John Cena does want to retire as a Grand Slam champion however, he’ll have to win the Intercontinental Championship to complete this major accomplishment.
Speaking on The Rap On Wrestling Podcast, Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio indicated that he’s open to facing Cena before the former WWE Champion’s retirement tour ends.
Sending a message to the 17-time world champion, Mysterio said:
“I mean, he can try. What’s the thing he says? If you want some, come get some.
“John, you know where I’m at, if you want to finish your Grand Slam quest, I’m here all day. Every Monday, you know where I’ll be.”
