If you’ve never taken the time to have a look at the Instagram page of one John Cena, let me tell you that it’s a… pretty interesting place. He only ever posts photos without captions, and they often have very little context behind them whatsoever.
Taking look at the 16-time WWE World Champion’s latest post will give you an idea of what I mean:

For those of you without eyes, that is a photo of a lad in school named John Moxley. Now, the wrestling nerds among us will know that Jon Moxley was the ring name of WWE’s Dean Ambrose… before he became Dean Ambrose. Ambrose’s real name, however, is John Good – which is also the name of the character I played in a school play when I was 10.
Of course, it recently came out and was actually confirmed by WWE in a rare move that Dean Ambrose has opted to not re-sign his current deal with the company, and will be leaving in when his contract is up in April.
With Cena’s current schedule, it’s likely that we may never see the two cross paths again, in which case, this is a fairly interesting parting gift from Big Match John.
What do you make of this gesture to Ambrose from John Cena? Let us know in the comments, on Twitter, or on Discord!
