John Cena has taken to social media for the first time sine wrestling his last match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
After a year-long WWE farewell tour that saw John Cena make final appearances in cities throughout the world, WWE’s “Greatest of All Time” stepped into a ring for the very last time at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington D.C.
After a night full of tributes to Cena’s career, the 17-time world champion bowed out with a loss to GUNTHER, submitting via a Rear Naked Chokehold after several minutes of attempting to fight off “The Ring General”.
Post match, WWE gave Cena a farewell, with CM Punk and Cody Rhodes bestowing their world championships to Cena before Triple H presented a video packaged celebrating his 23 years of dedication to the company, pro wrestling and it’s fans.
After the video package, Cena left his wrestling shoes, wrist and armbands in the ring, an image that Cena has now since shared on Instagram – his first post since his WWE retirement.
The post can be seen down below, and as expected with Cena’s Instagram account, it features no caption to go along with it.
