John Cena Reacts To Jelly Roll WWE SummerSlam Homage WWE

John Cena has reacted to Jelly Roll paying homage to him at WWE SummerSlam 2024.

As was much advertised in the build to SummerSlam in Cleveland, OH – Grammy nominated singer/rapper Jelly Roll left his mark on the Biggest Party of the Summer.

Not only did the 39-year-old open the show with a musical performance, but he also got the chance to mix it up inside the ring later in the night with SmackDown stars Austin Theory and Grayson Waller.

After A-Town Down Under came to the ring to run down The Awesome Truth – who were announcing the official attendance inside the Cleveland Browns Stadium – Jelly Roll would provide some bad-up.

This led to Jelly Roll hitting both men with a steel chair, before delivering a devastating one-armed choke slam on Theory.

The Miz, R-Truth and Jelly Roll would then pay homage to 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena, by delivering a collective three-on-one Five Knuckle Shuffle.

This shoutout from Jelly Roll to Cena would then lead to WWE’s ‘Greatest of All-Time’ reacting to the moment via Twitter, where he teased that the two could team together in WWE in the future.

Cena wrote:

Have listened to his music, had the privilege of spending some time with him, and now know I have a GREAT option for a tag team partner anytime @WWE comes to Nashville!

@JellyRoll615’s Time is Now!!!! #SummerSlam

As was announced at last month’s Money in the Bank PLE, Cena is set to embark on his final year as an active performer in WWE in 2025.

A reported planned opponent for Cena for his retirement tour has been revealed – follow this link for full details.
