Last week Randy Orton made a huge challenge for WrestleMania 36 when he called out John Cena for a match at the biggest show of 2020.
Orton and Cena have been rivals for many years, and it seemed as though Randy is very keen to continue that when WWE heads to Tampa in April.
Unfortunately for Randy however, it turns out that Cena had absolutely no idea that the challenge had been made.
“I wasn’t even aware of that,” said Cena in an interview with Justin Barrasso.
“I never make the matches, I’m just grateful to be able to perform in WWE. Every day away from it, I miss it more and more and more. I’m becoming more honest with myself about how much I miss it. I’m very eager to get back into a WWE ring soon. And on the subject of WrestleMania, I can tell you this—I haven’t missed a WrestleMania since my first appearance at WrestleMania 19, and I do not plan to miss a WrestleMania for decades to come.”
I guess he didn’t say no…
I have to say though, Randy vs. John isn’t a match that excites me or anyone at this stage of their careers. Now that Cena is a famous movie star, you want him coming back for big moments and not 20 minute laborious matches with Randy Orton.
