John Cena & Roman Reigns Clash Following SmackDown

Following the July 30 episode of SmackDown, John Cena and Roman Reigns were both in action in a dark 6-man tag team match.

After last night’s show, John Cena teamed with Dominik and Rey Mysterio to take on Roman Reigns and The Usos.

In the closing moments of the match, the referee was knocked down, and the Universal Champion hit Cena, Rey and Dominik with Superman punches. Cena would eventually dodge a spear, before nailing Reigns with the Attitude Adjustment, to a large pop from the crowd.

Cena would hit Jimmy Uso with one more Attitude Adjustment to win the match for his team.

Cena and The Mysterios have teamed up to face The Bloodline at two WWE house shows since the 16-time World Champion’s return. You can watch the closing moments to their match at the WWE Supershow in Pittsburgh here.

On last night’s episode of SmackDown, Cena signed the SummerSlam Universal Championship match contract. Shortly after the segment, it was officially announced that he will challenge Roman Reigns on August 21.

Before SmackDown, several NXT talents competed in dark matches, following reports that they were backstage for the show.
