John Cena To ‘Ruin Wrestling’ During WWE Retirement Tour

John Cena opened today’s March 24 episode of WWE Raw in Glasgow, Scotland, and once again played up to his new heel persona.

Cena ran down all the fans, calling them pathetic similar to how he did last week, and also directly addressed the kid wearing a Cena shirt in the crowd that went viral after last week after Cena singled him out and said he’s just as pathetic as everyone else.

This week, Cena said:

“Last week I put a poor innocent kid on blast. His face was everywhere. WWE posted it. And you all loved it.

“You guys are the ones who like to watch, rewatch and meme a poor little kid getting destroyed. I don’t need to single out a single person here, because you’re all horrible people.”

Cena then started talking about when he introduced the WWE Championship ‘spinner belt’ in 2005 to criticism from the fans.

He said that was the biggest mistake the fans ever made, because now he’s going to get payback for the negative reception by “ruining wrestling”.

He added:

“I am going to ruin wrestling. I am going to ruin wrestling for every fan, every wrestler, for everyone. At WrestleMania, I make history by winning a 17th championship, and make you forget the name of Ric Flair.

“I will win that championship and retire with it. I am taking it home with me, and leaving all of you to create a brand new toy belt, because the real one comes home with me! I will be the last real champion in WWE!”

After Cena said there’s nobody that can stop him from doing that, he was once again interrupted by WWE Champion and his WrestleMania opponent Cody Rhodes, just like last week.

After saying he’ll save wrestling from Cena, Rhodes laid out his title belt in between both men, ripped his shirt off and challenged Cena to take it right there and then.

Cena then simply left the ring and walked off, with Rhodes finishing by saying:

“Your psychotic need to take this (championship) does not outweigh our right to keep it. The champ is no longer standing there (pointing at Cena on the ramp). The champ is standing in the center of this ring. And seeing you walking away empty handed. John Cena, that is how you walk away from WrestleMania, and that is how you walk away from the WWE.”
