John Cena Sr has commented on the career of his son, WWE star John Cena, ahead of his retirement match this weekend.
John Cena will wrestle his final match at the December 13 Saturday Night’s Main Event special, against GUNTHER.
Speaking on Best For Business, the 17-time WWE world champion’s father, John Cena Sr, noted that he’s proud of his son for all of his work both in and outside the ring.
He said:
“I’ve experienced a young man start from the beginning, from the very, very bottom.
“If anybody doesn’t believe hustle, loyalty and respect, (he has) proven to you as an individual that you yourself, hustling and believing in yourself, being loyal to yourself and those around you, and giving respect to those close to you and around you and yourself, you can accomplish anything.
“I’ve seen him be at his high, I’ve seen him be at his low.
“I just take a look at this and say I am so proud of my son for what he’s accomplished in the business, and what he’s accomplished with Make-A-Wish.”

John Cena Sr went on to recall fans coming up to him to reveal how Cena Jr has impacted their lives.
Believing Cena will stick to his word and never wrestle again after Saturday Night’s Main Event, Cena Sr concluded:
“It wasn’t all about ‘Hey, look at me, I’m the champ.’ He never forgot where he came from, and he never forgot who he was, and that’s important.
“He was always there to help, and he’s still there to help. I think he’ll always be there to help, but do I ever think you’ll see John Cena in the ring again ever? Never.”
