A champion on WWE NXT has addressed the possibility of being John Cena’s final opponent, and competing in the Last Time is Now tournament.
With John Cena’s final match set to take place on the December 13 Saturday Night’s Main Event special, matches are being announced for a tournament to determine his final opponent.
Speaking with Good Karma Wrestling, Ethan Page noted that he would definitely love the opportunity to compete to be in the 17-time world champion’s last match.
When he was asked about the possibility of being John Cena’s retirement opponent, the NXT North American Champion said:
“I mean, it sounds great. You’ve got to get me in that tournament first, and then I’ve got to continue to do what I have been doing, which is beating every single wrestler put in front of me, no matter what locker room they come from.
“I would definitely love the opportunity.”
